What is Shared Purchase?
An affordable way to get onto the property ladder.
Through our schemes you will initially buy a share of a property, based on no more than 75% of the open market value for shared ownership or 80% for shared equity.
Your purchase can be funded by a mortgage but unlike other schemes, we do not charge rent on the unsold part (apart from an annual ground rent).
We are presently (November 2009) working on bringing forward a number of schemes delivering, in excess of 300 affordable units, across England.
